We are pleased to announce the opening of the 16th Wigan online shop. The latest development of the website offers 16th Wigan branded clothing – ideal for less formal occasions like days out, competitions and camps, a donation point and will be the place to buy tickets for social events and raffles.
The addition of the online shop not only makes it easier for members to purchase branded clothing but also extends the reach of the group into the community more. The online shop will make it easier for those outside of the group to be part of social events and benefit from the work the volunteers of the group do in their community.
Group Lead Volunteer, Neil Tucker commented, “As we are ever more increasingly a cashless and online society it is important we move with the times and embrace the opportunities this brings. Scouting and 16th Wigan still proudly embrace it’s traditional roots but we also need to look at new ways of working with and reaching out to our community. The online shop gives us another tool to do that.”
