
About Squirrels
Squirrel Scouts are the newest and youngest section in the Scouting family. Squirrels are aged from four to six years old.
Learning about themselves and the world around them Squirrels under take a range of creative and skill based activities.
Fun and Friends
Squirrels is a fun way for the youngest scouts to meet new children and start to forge different friendships. By taking part in games and activities Squirrels learn about themselves and others as well as the world around them.
Nights Away
They might be the youngest section but Squirrels also have the opportunity to take part in nights away activities. Nights Away activities are an essential part to encouraging independance and forging friendships.
Earning Badges
Just like the older sections Squirrels have lots of different badges to cover topics such as caring for animals, exploring new places, science experiments and many more! Squirrel badge are recognition of the skills they are starting develop as the grow up.

16th Wigan do not currently have a Squirrel Drey as part of our group however we are looking into the possibilities of starting this new section.
