16th Wigan enjoyed a wonderful week on their summer camp. Scouts were joined by Young Leaders and Cubs at Waddecar Activity Center for a week that had many different challenges.

Over 30 young people from 6 to 16 took part in a varied range of activities, which included foraging, baking, climbing, axe throwing, caving, canoeing, raft building, archery, and bouldering. They also enjoyed days off-site going ghyll scrambling in Coniston and to Blackpool Zoo and Pleasure Beach.

Other highlights included cooking and camel feeding.

In the evenings, the young people enjoyed films, baking, and capture the flag, took in a solar eclipse, and spent a night in the hammocks.
